Hastakalaa, meaning “handmade art” in Nepali, is an online shop and platform showcasing and selling handcrafted wooden materials, statues, stone sculptures, Nepali artifacts, thangkas, and more. We aim to empower Nepali artisans, promote Nepali art and craft, and offer unique and authentic products to the world.
Hastakalaa was founded in January 2024 by Ujwal Pokharel and Aayush Pokharel, two passionate digital marketing experts individuals dedicated to preserving and sharing Nepal’s rich cultural heritage through art and craft.
Our mission is threefold: to empower Nepali artisans, promote Nepali art and craft, and offer unique and authentic products. We strive to create a sustainable future for Nepali artisans while connecting art enthusiasts worldwide with the beauty and significance of Nepali craftsmanship.
